Observations: These records appear on a systematic classification of the lepidoptera which have occurred in the vicinity of Northampton. J. Northampt. nat. Hist. Soc. p.334 by Hull, W. & Tomalin, H. F., 1882-84. All attempts in recent years to update the Harlestone Heath record on the small amount of heather remaining on the site have failed.
