Flight Period:  May & June

Observations: Adults are pollen feeders. Often seen in numbers on flower heads of low plants, e.g. Buttercup, Sedges and Dog's Mercury

Confusion Species: M. aruncella (females)

L.O.N.:  Abundant in flowers during May
