Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  7-9mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations: A nationally rare species, first recorded in VC32 as a single adult to light in ancient deer parkland, June 2025, subsquently confirmed by dissection. The larval stages are not completely understood, but is reported as having an association with Birch and Small-leaved Lime.

Confusion Species: Adults - Grade 4 (require dissection). Very similar to several Nepticulidae.
