Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  14-17mm

Flight Period:  May - June

Observations: The larva feeds when young in the fruit of Currant or Gooseberry. After hibernation it burrows into a fresh bud to complete its development. The only VC32 record of the UK BAP is from 1902.
