Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, gardens, allotments

Wingspan:  9-12mm

Flight Period:  May - early July

Observations:  The larva feeds initially in the flower receptacle and subsequently in the buds and shoots of Raspberry and other closely related plants such as Loganberry. Last county record was 24.vi.1937 at Kettering (SP88). The adult moth may be attracted to light but can also be flying in the afternoon, and is reasonably widespread throughout the rest of the UK.
