Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Grassland

Wingspan:  10-14mm

Flight Period:  July

Observations:  The larva feeds initially on the flowers, and later leaf fragments, of Devil's-bit Scabious and Small Scabious. Adult are diurnal. There is only a single record of this species from 1907 as below.
