Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Observations: Plentiful on 10 July 1987 at Yardley Chase when twelve were taken at m.v. light. Males are more frequently seen.

L.O.N.: 1907. Several localities. Very irregular. In 1903 it was quite common. It seems to like high places as I found three on the roof of the house; all females. The male is more difficult to come across.
