Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  10-18mm

Flight Period:  May - September

Observations:  Adults are attracted to light, but can also be seen in numbers in woodland clearings at dusk. I recorded 5 individuals in this manner along the main track through Old Dry Hills on 17.vi.2013. The larvae feed mainly on types of bracket fungus.

Confusion Species: Nemapogon granella
