Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  12-15mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  The larvae feed on dead wood, completing their larval stage in May, often in rot-holes and within hollows in tree trunks. Adults occasionally fly by day and may be attracted to light. Adults are also attracted to the LUN pheromone lure (for Lunar Hornet).
