Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, hedgerows

Wingspan:  6-7mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: April-May, July-August

Observations:  The larvae mine the leaves of Elm. Until quite recently this species was only recorded from a couple of sites in Surrey, but has been noted in other Vice Counties in the last couple of years. I am aware of records in Bedfordshire (VC30), Cambridgeshire (VC29) and Huntingdonshire (VC31).
