Status:  Possible recent colonist

Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, hedgerows

Wingspan:  11-12mm

Flight Period:  Autumn onwards, reappearing in spring

Observations: The first British record of this speices taken in Surrey in 2017, with the second during April 2019 in Kent. Other neighbouring counties have also recently discovered this speices. The larva forms a cone in the leaves of Sycamore and possibly Field Maple. Dissection is required to confirm adults.

Confusion Species: C. elongella, C. betulicola, C. falconipenella, C. hemidactyla
