Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Grassland, woodland rides

Wingspan:  10-11mm

Flight Period:  September, reappearing in spring

Observations: The larva feeds on Dock, Knotgrass and Looseestrife, initially as a gallery mine, followed by a blotch and then two succesive leaf folds. The form quadruplella is depicted here, but the typical form has a more fuscous ground colouration with a pale dorsal streak. Very few records for VC32 of this nationally local species.
