Distribution/Abundance:  Scarce

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, Hedgerows, Gardens

Wingspan:  8-10mm

Flight Period:  Late July onwards, occasionally in spring after overwintering

Observations: The orangey-red larvae mine the leaves of Oak, forming a distinctive silvery blotch. The species is widespread, but local, throughout the UK and leaf-mining searches may reveal further records.
