Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very local.

Primary Habitat: Birch woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in May and June.

Locality: Easton Hornstocks and Highlands.

Observations: The caterpillar of the species was first found to be well established in old birch stumps at Easton Hornstocks in 1996. The moth has also been seen there in subsequent years. The Highlands record was of a single moth attracted to a pheromone lure on 14 June 2004.

Attracted to artificial lure CUL (MYO less so) - best time 2pm to 4pm
