Distribution and Abundance: Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat: Dry grassland

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July

Observations: A single possible record of this species has recently been discovered. A single specimen was reputedly taken in the Brackley area around 1905. This specimen was retained in a collection and the data label apparenty remained extant for some time after the moth itself succumbed to decay. With no actual specimen to corroborate this claim, the species is noted here for completeness only.

This species is protected under law and thus a permit is required to conduct surveys, including with pheromone lures.
