Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Everywhere

Wingspan:  11-15mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: May - July, August to October

Observations: An almost ubiquitous species, found wherever its foodplant, Nettle, exists. Adults fly by day and often seen in numbers in a distinctive "buzzing" flight. Larvae feed within a silk spinning on Nettle.

Confusion Species:  May sometimes be confused with Apple Leaf Skeletonizer Choreutis pariana
