Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, Hedgerows, Gardens

Wingspan:  11-15mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: July, September onwards, and in spring after hibernation

Observations: This moth is more associated with Crab Apple than domestic varieties, where the larvae feed on the upper surfaces of the leaves, resulting in tell-tale "skeletonisation" pattern.

Confusion Species:  Anthophila fabriciana
