Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Scarce

Primary Habitat:  Damp woodland, Wetland

Wingspan:  9-10mm

Flight Period:  May - June

Observations: Relatively few moder records in VC32. Moth may be found by day in damp woodland rides, often on flower heads. I have found it on two occasions in Grafton Park Wood. Larvae feed on the seeds of various Sedges.

Confusion Species:  Other members of the Glyphipterix family

L.O.N.:  Wadenhoe, 07.vi.1908, dark bronzy with silvery markings
