Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Wetland, Gardens

Wingspan:  20mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: April - May, August

Observations: Larvae initially mine the leaves, but then feed gregariously in a silk web on Spindle. Adults can be distinguished from its congeners by a large black spot on the forewing.

Confusion Species:  Other Yponomeuta species

L.O.N.:  Common round Spindle trees, but not often abundant, 23-28 July
