Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Wet habitats such as stream edges, damp woodland

Wingspan:  20-28mm

Flight Period:  July - August

Observations: Larvae feed on Bur-reed (Sparganium), although other reeds and rushes are used. The larvae feed inside the stems.

Confusion Species:
