Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Wasteground, Quarries, Gardens, Woodland rides

Wingspan:  10-13mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Case-bearing larvae feed on a variety of herbaceous plants including Marjoram, Basil, Calamint, Clary, Ground-ivy, other mints and Self-heal.

Confusion Species:  Most members of the Coleophoridae family are notoriously difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant, or by examination of adult genitalia.
