Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Damp woodland rides, stream banks, etc

Wingspan:  10-12mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: April - May, July - August

Observations:  Larvae mine the leaves of Glyceria such as Reed Sweet-grass and may be best searched for by this method.

Confusion Species:  As adult, confusion possible with other Elachista species.
