Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Grassland, Woodland rides

Wingspan:  10-11mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae mine the blades of grasses such as Colt's Foot. Can be seen flying from late afternoon.

Confusion Species:  Other members of the Elachistidae family can be very similar as adults and care is required to correctly identify, especially in worn adults.
