Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Damp grassland, Damp woodland rides

Wingspan:  10-12mm

Flight Period:  Multivoltine: May - August

Observations:  Larvae mine the stems of Reed Canary Grass and Common Reed.

Confusion Species:  Other members of the Elachistidae family can be very similar as adults and care is required to correctly identify, especially in worn specimens.
