Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Grassland

Wingspan:  11-12mm

Flight Period:  May - July

Observations:  Larvae mine the blades of various grasses. Adults are easily encountered from dusk and come to light.

Confusion Species:  E. triatomea (if worn). Other members of the Elachistidae family can be very similar as adults and care is required to correctly identify, especially in worn specimens.

L.O.N.:  Common in many places but nowhere abundant, May - June
