Observations: Larvae
mine the blades of various grasses. Adults are easily encountered
from dusk and come to light.
Confusion Species:
E. triatomea (if worn). Other members of the Elachistidae
family can be very similar as adults and care is required to correctly
identify, especially in worn specimens.
