Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Grassland

Wingspan:  8-9mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  Larvae mine the blades of Fescue grasses.

Confusion Species:  E. argentella (if worn). Other members of the Elachistidae family can be very similar as adults and care is required to correctly identify, especially in worn specimens.
