Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Damp Grassland

Wingspan:  9-11mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: May - July, August

Observations:  Larvae mine the blades of Tufted Hair-grass and Blue Moor-grass.

Confusion Species:  Other members of the Elachistidae family can be very similar as adults and care is required to correctly identify, especially in worn specimens.
