Observations:  Larvae mine the blades of various Sedges. Widespread across the UK, but rarely recorded locally. Listed as Nationally Scarce in the UK.

Confusion Species:  Other members of the Elachistidae family can be very similar as adults (especially Elachista albidella and Elachista eleochariella) and care is required to correctly identify, especially in worn specimens.
