Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Inside houses, Gardens, Woodland

Wingspan:  15-25mm

Flight Period:  Found throughout the year

Observations: Larvae feed on detritus, especially material that gathers in untouched corners of the house. The adult moths can be found at any time of the year indoors, but also recorded frequently at light traps mainly between April and October.
