Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Inside houses, Gardens, Woodland

Wingspan:  15-21mm

Flight Period:  Found throughout the year

Observations: Larvae feed on dead plant and animal material, and detritus that gathers in untouched corners of the house. The adult moths can be found at any time of the year indoors, but also recorded frequently at light traps mainly between April and October.
