Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Ditches, River banks

Wingspan:  21-24mm

Flight Period:  September - April

Observations: Larvae feed on Dropwort, mining the flowering stems.

Confusion Species:  D. ultimella. Some members of the Depressariinae are difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant, or by examination of adult genitalia
