Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Wasteground, Grassland, Roadside verges

Wingspan:  19-22mm

Flight Period:  August - September, and up to May after hibernation

Observations: Larvae feed on Rough Chervil, on the seeds and flower head.

Confusion Species:  Some members of the Depressariinae are difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant, or by examination of adult genitalia.
