Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Wasteground, Roadside verges, Grassland

Wingspan:  16-22mm

Flight Period:  August, and up to May after hibernation.

Observations: Larvae feed on Knapweed & Thistle.

Confusion Species:  A. propinquella. Some members of the Depressariinae are difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant, or by examination of adult genitalia.
