Observations: Larvae
feed on Knapweeds and Saw-wort. This species appears to be declining
in the UK, and is now mostly confined to the South.
Confusion Species:
A. kaekeritziana, A. bipunctosa. Some members of the Depressariinae
are difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder
is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant,
or by examination of adult genitalia.
