Distribution/Abundance:  Scarce

Primary Habitat:  Wetland

Wingspan:  19-22mm

Flight Period:  September, and to May after hibernation

Observations: Larvae feed on Willows.

Confusion Species:  Some members of the Depressariinae are difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant, or by examination of adult genitalia.
