Distribution/Abundance:  Scarce

Primary Habitat:  Damp woodland, Carr

Wingspan:  17-19mm

Flight Period:  July - September

Observations: Larvae feed on terminal shoots of Sallows and Willows.

Confusion Species:  Some members of the Depressariinae are difficult to positively identify as adults unless the recorder is particularly skilled. Best identified either from the larval case/foodplant, or by examination of adult genitalia.
