Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Damp grassland, ditches, woodland rides

Wingspan:  10-12mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: June; August - early September

Observations: The larvae feed in the seedheads of a number of plants, most notably Common Fleabane (Pulicaria dysenterica). The presence of larval inhabitation may be seen as rasied areas/tufts on the flower/seed-heads of foodplants. Adults can be seen nectaring during the day, and do attend light traps.
