Status:  Adventive

Distribution/Abundance:  General occurrence

Primary Habitat:  Normally coastal on sand dunes, etc

Wingspan:  13-14mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed on various mosses. The adult moth is known to "wander" from its primary habitat, but to encounter one this far inland is unusual. A single adult was recorded at light on the Farthinghoe Nature Reserve on 21 July 2022, confirmed by dissection.
