Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  TBC - usually moorland and heath

Wingspan:  13-18mm

Flight Period:  April - June

Observations:  Larvae feed on flowers and shoots of Heathers. The only VC32 records are from the early 20th Century. May be recorded again where the foodplant still survives, such as Ailsworth Heath (Castor Hanglands), Lings Wood or Wakerley Great Wood. Moths come to light
