Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Gardens, Woodland

Wingspan:  18-21mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: May - July, August - November

Observations:  Larvae feed on leaf litter and stored materisl in out-houses. Larvae are also found inside seedheads of Teasel. Adults are a frequent visitor to light traps and can be recorded in numbers.
