Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Grassland, Wasteground

Wingspan:  10-13mm

Flight Period:  May - August

Observations:  Larvae feed on the flowers and seeds of Mayweed and Golden-rod. This species appears to have a good number of records from adjacent Bedfordshire, so may be under-recorded locally. Adults may be found flying towards dusk and do come to light.

Confusion Species:  C. heydeniana
