Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Gardens, Woodland

Wingspan:  16-24mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed within a leaf-roll on a number of shrubs and trees such as Hazel, Ash, Oak and Prunus. Often seen in garden light traps.

Confusion Species:  P. corylana, P. cinnamomeana, P. cerasana.

L.O.N.:  Rather common in woods, July.

First Record:  1906, Wallis
