Primary Habitat:  General, Gardens

Wingspan:  11-12mm

Flight Period:  In Europe: adults recorded between late March and late September

Observations:  First recorded in the UK in Staffordshire, July 2023. Another two records were noted during September 2023 (Wales and Essex). The species was recorded for the first time in VC32 in a garden light trap in Oundle on 26th September 2024, which looks likely to be only the 4th UK record. It is an adventive species, known from Canada and the USA, but appears to be spreading through Continental Europe. The larva is described as polyphageous, but known to be a pest of Strawberry and various Citrus species.
