Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, Hedgerows

Wingspan:  20-29mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  Larvae feed on a variety of trees and shrubs, including Privet, Honeysuckle, Woundwort, European Larch, Spruce and Pines. Quite sizeable as an adult and not easily confused with other species.
