Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, Hedgerows, Gardens

Wingspan:  12-18mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: May - July, August - September

Observations:  Larvae feed on a variety of trees and shrubs, most often Ash, also Privet and Lilac. I have seen swarms of males during the afternoon at the entrance to Grafton Park Wood, and both sexes seem to come to light.

Confusion Species:  Ditula angustiorana
