Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Gardens, Grassland

Wingspan:  15-18mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed on a range of low-growing herbaceous plants such as Docks, Dandelion, Ox-eye Daisy, Raspberry and Strawberry. Identification of adults based on size and wing markings alone is unreliable, thus genitalia examination is required for certainty.

Confusion Species:  Other Cnephasia species
