Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Grassland

Wingspan:  15-20mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  Larvae feed onthe flowers of a wide range of low-growing herbaceous plants such as Buttercup, Ox-eye Daisy, Chamomile and Yarrow. Identification of adults based on size and wing markings alone is unreliable, thus genitalia examination is required for certainty.

Confusion Species:  Other Cnephasia species
