Woodland

feed mainly in a leaf-fold on Oak, sometimes in almost plague proportions.
Adults also sometimes attend light traps in vast numbers. It is regularly

often resting in quite exposed positions.

L.O.N.: The larvae
often strip the Oak trees of their first leaves, and the moths may
be seen in countless myriads fluttering round the trees in the daytime
during July.
