Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  18-22mm

Flight Period:  September onwards, and in spring after hibernation

Observations:  Larvae feed on Birch. Adults closely resemble A. kochiella. Until recently the only British records were from the highlands of Scotland . Since the 1990s the species has become established in the south east of England, probably from a spread of migrants from Europe .
