Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  20mm

Flight Period:  July onwards, and in spring after hibernation

Observations:  Larvae feed on a range of deciduous trees. This species has not been recorded since 1905, and has a very scattered distribution in the UK. A very variable moth as an adult, some forms closely resemble A. hastiana

Confusion Species:  A. hastiana
